    Given:

    Your cell phone transmits RF energy in the cell phone frequency range. This energy is measured in watts and available from the manufacturer.

    Your microwave transmits RF energy in the Microwave Oven range. This energy is measured in watts and available from the manufacturer.

    Watts can be converted to heat rise over ambient conditions. How many watts does it take to heat a certain mass 1 degree C above it's ambient temp? I get the feeling a cell phone won't get it done, but if it can, how long would it take based on the numbers you know from the microwave? It's not simple, but won't waste your time like trying to fry ants or something like that. Good luck.
