  1. LOL!!  I hope you mean your BIRD'S p**p, not your p**p!  (he, he)  But no, not really.  It just means that you fed your bird something green.  I'm guessing you fed him lettuce or some fresh green vegetables recently.  I nearly had a fit when I cleaned up some p**p and it was RED, untill I noticed that the bird had just gorged himself on the carrots he usually ignored in his breakfast dish.  He apparently picked up a half slice of carrot, ate the middle out of it and picked up the next piece.  Until then, I had been feeding whole slices.  Just goes to show you that serving things differently may make the food more interesting.

It is really good that you are keeping track of the p**p.  That is the first indicator of health, especially for animals that are primarily vegetarians, like birds and horses.  Even more than the color, take note of the consistancy and frequency of the stool.  If it's runny one time he poops then regular the next, don't worry.  If it's runny for several cycles in a row, look into the situation.  Also, the size may differ.  My African Grey usually has daintly litttle droppings during the day ("dainty" is a very relative term when referring to AG droppings), but her morning p**p is more of a bomb and I won't even take her out of her cage until she lets that one loose.

Another thing to take note of is the smell.  There is rarely any smell associated with bird droppings, so if there is a smell, especially if it does not smell like the food they just ate, again, look into the next p**p to see if the situation has righted itself.  Birds usually 'produce' every 20 minutes or so.

Above all, you are correct in looking into any possible signs of illness immediately, as birds tend to hide outward signs of illlness so they can hang with the flock for protection.  By the time you would notice illness it may be too late.
