  1. get him some hens and see what happens

  2. It sounds like he needs some hens to satisfy him.  We have 1 rooster and 7 hens.  He usually Crows when he's "Egging" for it ( I couldnt help myself).  They usually crow, do their business with the hens and strut like hes hot stuff.

  3. Sounds like he's just right for soup.

  4. No i had a rooster that would crow whenever it felt like it no matter what the time of day was. They just do it whenever they feel like it not just in the morning like everyone thinks.

  5. No like said already, roosters crow due to the testosterone hormone in their body . . .

not just in the morning . .. like everyone thinks, It's a common misconception The reason they often do it in the morning is cos they have just got up and . . want to show off and dominate and cos of his hormones =)

they also crow to show dominance to another rooster

and also to alert of a strange noise. .  .

(eg in the middle of the night  cos of a car alarm or w/e)

But no, there is nothing wrong . . .

sometimes maybe a tad bit annoying for you

perhaps invest in a few girls for him =)

  6. Roosters crow due to the testosterone in their body.

If you neuter them, they will stop crowing. It has nothing to do with the sun coming up or anything like that. It is all hormones.

  7. it wants the cows to die

  8. Horny. Is there any hens around for him to lay? If not he is screaming I'M HORNY AS H E L L !!

  9. Nope, I asked the same question at the feed store recently. (they have a rooster)

Maybe the housing arrangement is causing him to crow.
