  1. i would reccomend getting some light gloves and working

    it happens

i know ive gotten pissed off at something and just unloaded on my punching bag bear skin

your knuckles will heal up the skin will get tougher

    but it takes time

i still get blood blisters and ive been pounding my hardest on bags for over 2 years now i also wear 4 ounce gloves now and back then

i used to get cuts and such trust me in time it goes away

  2. i practice all forms of martial arts and bare knuckle fighting is the worst for your hands.

i recommend you soak your hands in brine then use a thin strip of cotton wrap to wrap around your hand. it'll stop you from getting hurt.

if you want a fancy solution buy armor plated glove.

im 13 and i can punch through a wall with them (sensei dojo ^.^)

  3. You may be sliding your fist on impact or when retracting. Straight in and snap back should stop this. After awhile the skin does toughen, until then you may just have to deal with the bleeding.

Or, perhaps your skin is just dry. Apply lotion before sluggin.

If you want to toughen your knuckles, make a fist and soak the knuckle area in brine (pickle juice)... makes 'em like leather.

  4. Nothing is wrong with your punching..common sense possibly. Banging on a bag bare knuckle is not smart. It can lead to injury, infection, and eventually scarring or permanent damage to your hands and wrists. Wrap up. If you dont want to wear wraps get MMA gloves, I recommend 4-6oz gloves. One can not work on technique if you are in pain while doing it or afterwards. You dont want to be unsafe in training. 68% of injuries combat sport related happen IN TRAINING. Your hands will still get strong, but there is NO POINT in causing injuries, delays training. Besides think of the guy or girl behind you that has to use the same equipment and vice versa. Be smart, protect yourself at all times, even in training.

  5. do you wrap them up man? get some good wraps to wrap them up.

  6. are you wearing gloves or tape or is it bare knuckle when you are practicing?

  7. When you start really punching, you should try hand wraps or 6 oz gloves, MMA gloves.  After a while things get tougher, but if you hit the bag and skim of it as opposed to driving into it, you will bleed a little.

Make sure your shots are solid, not skimming or scraping off the bag, punch through the bag.  Since I have never seen you punch I don't know if this is the problem, but I'm just raising the possibility.
