is there something wrong with my bunny? i took her out for 'playtime' and she suddenly , like jumped up and like shivered, kind of. she kept doing it. she'd just suddenly shiver and run around and jump and then shiver again, jump around, repeated it and then eventually stopped. she'd be just standing, or grooming her self, and the just jump up and shake/shiver. it's really odd! she only started today, or that i know of. i always keep an eye on her.

im really worried! please help!

  1. Dogs and cats shiver and shake when they hear police sirens or fireworks.  Maybe its that and she is just spooked.

  2. It sounds most likely that she's happy and just playing, bunnies like to jump and dodge, and often kick their legs out to the side when jumping.  Also they have crappy vision up close so may jump into objects close to them cus they misjudge distance.  However, it's a possibility that she has fleas, if there are other animals like cats or dogs around that could give her fleas then check the back of her neck for gritty stuff that sometimes happens when animals have fleas.  Also part the fur in a few places around there and see if any fleas walk/jump out.  If she has fleas see a vet for an appropriate flea treatment.

  3. maybe she's mentally challenged.......sorry for the d**k answer:P...no...animals can sense things vividly...maybe something seemed dangerous to her?

  4. Nope nothings wrong, it's a good sign! It's called a binky, they run and jump and flick out their back legs to the side and stuff, it's hilarious to watch sometimes =)

They shake around sometimes too, that's also normal.

    Nothing to worry about here!

  5. im sorry, for your bunny <3!

the best advice i have for you is to call the vet and just see what they say. they know better than anyone here!

  6. That means she is happy! It's called a binky, try looking for videos on youtube, I bet they will look exactly like your rabbit :)

  7. Try sticking your self in the freezer and you'd shiver too!

  8. it's a very good sign. It's called popcorning. They do it when they are extremly happy.

  9. Its totally normal.  My rabbit does it a lot.  Some people call it  "pop corning"

  10. well keep an eye on her, if she is like that tomorrow, take her to the vet, i have a rabbit too!
