Is there something wrong with this?

Well, I'm 15 and about 2 years ago my doctor said I had...osgood schlatter I think? Well, at first it hurt, and annoyed me. He never told me to stop playing sports or anything, so I didn't. I heard from other people that playing sports with it, is no good. Right now, it doesn't hurt unless I do something and I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or anything but it seems like my knee is out of place. It's not a perfect | but more like a \ (Where the bottom meets the top part, the angle of it.) Could this be? If yes, does it affect me in any way? Sometimes when I run, I feel a sort of strain later in that area. Anything else you could tell me?

Thanks! :)

  1. Its perfectly normal. Doctors usually suggest wearing bands that can be tightened or loosened around the leg just under the kneecap, or wrap it with prewrap, the pressure against the tenden helps to relieve the pain and  keep everything in its correct place, sort of like a compression sleeve. This will also help with the soreness after activities, as it will cut down on the rattling around of legiments and tendons while your playing. As you get older, it will probably go away as your growing slows down and growth plates reach completion.

  2. That is really a question for your doctor, not a bunch of insomniacs.
