yes it could be caused by stress.

Eye twitches are normal. Mine sometimes twitches for hours at a time. It is mostly due to stress. Lack of calcium can also cause twitching.

My doctor said it can be due to tiredness.

If it only happens once in awhile, no, there's nothing wrong.

Happens to most of us from time to time ... it's just a small muscle-spasm or tic.

That can happen anywhere on your body.  Nothing to worry about unless it's happening constantly.  If that's the case, see the doctor!
