I have three budgies and plenty of room for each of them in there cage, but when ever I see them sleeping there usually on the side of the cage sitting perched onto the bars of the wall/cage thing, should I be worried if theres somthing wrong with the cage?

  1. HOUSING YOUR BUDGIE

Choose a cage which is wide enough - at least 45cm x 30cm x 30cm. If you have more than one bird the cage will have to be bigger. Budgies cannot stand drafts so site the cage away from windows and doors. It should be above the ground and away from direct sunlight. You will need a few extras for your cage:

    *  A water bottle with a stainless steel spout.

Separate dishes for seed and grit.

Perches with varying diameters - this will help to keep your birds' feet healthy.

Some type of floor covering - budgies love to tear paper to pieces so a cover around the base of the cage will save a lot of mess.

Mirror - fools your bird into thinking he has company!

Bed time cover ; stops your budgie from keeping you awake all night.

Toys - a couple of toys at a time, changed regularly, will keep your bird entertained.

Bird bath - a shallow dish with water, can be a messy business!

A budgie loves a ladder in his cage but ensure that the rungs are not too narrow otherwise the bird could trap  its head or body.

    I hope I helped!!
