  1. I have no idea what a PHEA loan is - all I came up with was the Pennsylvania Home Educators' Association, and that doesn't seem to be what you're referring to.

A Pell Grant is a gift from the government. No one is asked to repay a Pell Grant, so I don't even understand the question. If the Phea whatever-that-is is a grant, too, there would be no expectation that you would repay that, either.

If you were talking about a federal loan, rather than a grant, then there is NO statute of limitation that bars the collection of a federal educational loan. Section 484A(a) of the Higher Education Act ensures that there is no statute of limitation defense against the collection of a Stafford, a Perkins, or a PLUS loan.

    I hope that helped.

  2. Your question is VERY confusing, but I will attempt to decipher.

Are you trying to figure out if you were awarded a Pell grant, if there is a time limit you have to collect?

If so, yes. Each school year ends on June 30th of each year. You must have your FAFSA in by that date to be eligible for federal funds. So if you attended school anytime between July 1st, 2007 and June 30th, 2008, Your deadline was June 30th, 2008.

I hope this is what you wanted.
