  1. It's called Huis Ten Bosch in the west coast near Fukuoka. See the reference link.

    @H. Tanaka: You might be speaking of the Nagasaki Oranda Mura (長崎オランダ村) that closed a few years ago. I'm not sure though if this is the same but renovated village that is now called Huis Ten Bosch.


  2. Sadly it went bankrupt and out of business years ago.

    Another one in Kurashiki, a replica of a Danish park, followed the same path last month.

    Personally I've always wondered what's the point of duplicating foreign cities in Japan.

    So sad. Hehehehe!

    And I personally think these epitomize the degradation of Japanese civilization; instead of trying to create their own unique culture, they'd spent a huge amount of money and effort in creating the exact copies of European cities, only to leave them rusting away, unattended. If it's not the height of folly, what else would it be. We have already three or more Disneylands here.
