  1. NO, Absolutely. After the Maoists gained power in Kathmandu, The newly-elected Assembly met on May 28, 2008 and abolished the monarchy that had reigned for 240 years. So, Nepal was declared a republic and actually, it's a federal republic.

No, there is no more king in Nepal as the constituent assembly abolished the 240 years longer monarchy.Now,Nepal has been declared federal  democratic republic state.The former King very decently and politely left the palace and now staying in one small house as a citizen.I appreciate his generous and peaceful walk over.
