Hey,

I am student interest in the field of actuarial science. The question I had is, how difficult is it for someone with 4 or 5 exams done to find work as an actuary (in any sector)?

Since the profession has been in the spotlight for a while now, I gather that a lot more people want to become actuaries. But has this also significantly increased the competition for well paying jobs? And has it perhaps led to unemployment for some?

  1. a lot, demand will be there as long as there is boom and it's new in many places though when u pass out 6-7 yrs later scene could change but demand will always be there for such professional courses; (if it's 4 c.a.s why not acturialist) in fact it seems demand will increase am lot over time irrespective of growth because of changing circumstances and new events in trade which make an acturian in high demand. in domestic sector, though less profitable, a lot of non-professionals r doing the same job though cmpetencies r lower(lik marketing), so market has a wide scope only idea is new ----- go ahead...........

u may also try out the american cfa course for a finance career or a royal society of stats, membership. in india this society is going to get acknowledgement soon and some exclusive indepedant powers too.....

3 my juniors hav recently enrolled; the number and enthu is less 4 the tuffness of course............................. AND TIME!
