Is there still a lightning detector that displays the strikes as a series of dots on a screen?

I was looking for a cheaper alternative for my boat instead of a full blown radar. It would show storm activity and in which direction and movement.

i always go to weatherbug they have a map of lighting only its really cool.

Yes they have a machine that records lightning strikes and all tv weather stations have them.
