Is there still a plot to overthrow the US government? Or is it just going to wipe-out the Democratic party?

If a couple of white boys on Meth can plot to assassinate Obama, then there HAS to be a much bigger homegrown group of terrorists that are going to try & pull something to wipe out the Democrats who are attempting to take-over again, like they did in the 60's!

What are your thoughts regarding the terrorist activities going on in America?...Do you think they will succeed in destroying freedom for the sake of freedom?

I think that an individual and/or a homegrown terrorist group could possibly key in on the Democrat party or a specific candidate like Obama because of racial hatred or misguided "patriotism" and in the name of "freedom." They could also key in on the Republican party and McCain for some "equally justified" reason. The threat to the USA and our Republic is greater now then ever before (or just as great as in World War II or the Cold War). The terms and conditions are different, the threat is the same.

Fringe groups or an individual may well be right in the notion that a "successful" assassination can change the course of history. Will we ever know either the change in history that occurred or the real reason(s) behind an Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, or James Earl Ray? Maybe we do, maybe we don't. I am not necessarily a conspiracy theorist but when it comes to assassinations both in the USA and abroad, does one ever really know? The murder of over 3000 Americans (and citizens from many other countries) certainly changed the world we all live in.

Assassins and groups that support them are as wide spread as there are perceived injustices (or in some cases, actual injustices). If there are over three hundred known groups world wide as almost any list indicates, then how many more are not known and, if you count individuals, well, I think maybe we, as well as the rest of the World, have a problem.

As for destroying freedom for the sake of freedom the claim always seems to be "in the name of freedom."  Will they succeed? They have already had some limited success and this is one war that will last long beyond our lifetime and perhaps our children's lifetimes.

If something like that happened then that we would be run by one party government, I don't think that is what this country or any country needs. When that happens you can bet it would be the end of the United States as we know it

I got to old and tired to overthrough anything but my quilt across the couch i do that all the time..SO what i did was develop my own government and as long as no one invades the borders of the isle of Kathyland i remain at peace.
