  1. No.

  2. Never heard that strange name.

  3. There's a German town called Sarntal in South Tyrol (Italy) - does that help?

  4. I wouldn't take Blue advice on the wiki. It does not list all the cities in Germany, it seems only the larger ones.  It's probably missing about 2/3 of them To be honest with you, German cities don't end in "A'. It could be that it ends in " tal" (pronouces like towel but replace the "o" with the "a" and don't emphazie the "w" and you'll get the sound. But if your sure the city is in a germany speaking region. I would try Switzerland. The swiss share a border with Italy and the lower part of the country speaks italian. There towns often have italian names. An "a" at the end of the sentence would most likely be found in Italian"

    good luck

  5. Do you have an idea of whereabouts it's supposed to be?

  6. Here is a list of all the towns in Germany but there's no 'saranta'.

The only village I found that sounds similar is 'Sprantal' and that's near Bretten.

Hewre's a list with ALL towns, villages and districts:
