Is there such a device as an electronic notepad?

I use A4 Pads a lot for rough work on maths problems. Is there an electronic version where I can write on a screen (not on paper) and refresh to an empty screen as often as I like? It would be nice also if I could save some of these drafts too and if the device was not too bulky.
