Is there such a plate to get a cheap GMC/Chevy motor, that runs great?

Question

have a 1984 GMC Serria classic 1500 and i need a motor for it. I would prefer a 350, but if i could find a 305 or 350 would be great. If anyone know let me know where to look

I don't know if you'll find a cheap one, but you'll get a lot to choose from! you can sort by distance and/or price, if I remember right.  

You also may want to do a search on ebay, then click on save this search, and every time something is put on auction that meets your search parameters, you'll get an email. you can set the search up to only search within 100 miles, so that you don't get stuff on the other side of the country. You can also set limits on price.

I found my motor locally on car-part.com. It was $600 for a low mileage corolla motor, and it just purrs!
