Is there such a sports watch that will calculate distance.

In other words i am a runner and i wanted to figure distance out since i run in the woods. and i wanted to find a watch or something that would figure out how far i have run and how fast.

I don't know of any watches that can monitor distance, but there are step counters available. You clip it to your waistline like a pager, and it keeps track of how many steps you've taken. They've been around for years, so there are probably better ones out now. Check out your local sporting goods stores or maybe a gym. If they don't have something to figure time into it, use a stopwatch with it.
