Is there such a way that I can get a teaching degree at an American college and then teach schoolkids overseas in poorer countries?

And if so, would the only subject I'd be able to teach be English as a foreign language? If I'm fluent in a certain countries language and I go teach over there could I teach science or math or something?

Sure, you'd be able to teach overseas... the best way is to coordinate that with your university.  In the Career Resources Office you'll find plenty of newsletters with opportunities to teach any subject you want.  Most of the time, in the poorest countries, you'll be teaching all subjects with very limited resources.  A good resource to help you with your quest is your State Representative or Senator... they can often tell you where teachers are needed and if there are government programs to assist you.
