  1. Yes. Here's a recipe:

    Cooked Fruit Puree

Fresh, frozen or canned fruit(use apples, apricots, peaches, pears, plums, prunes, pineapple, or dried fruits)

Wash and peel fruit if necessary. Steam over low heat with a small amount of water until tender. Do not overcook. Cool and press through the baby food grinder. Serve. (I think a food mill or a food processer would be fine in place of a "baby food grinder".)

This came from the following site that also contains some other homemade baby food ideas: http://www.angelfire.com/nm/MorganWillia...

I hope this helps. Happy cooking!

  2. I would blanch the peach until just soft, then mash with a fork and push through a strainer or a food mill.  It doesn't need sugar or seasonings.

  3. I would personally add peach to apple since fresh peaches can still be kind of tart for a baby. And I cook my fruit before serving to an infant (except bananas) because the puree comes out smoother. I steam the fruit or cook in the microwave with little water and use all of the cooking liquid in the puree to minimize nutrient loss.  Then put the fruit in the blender and freeze in ice cube trays.

  4. What do you think women did before there was Gerber?  Chuck a peach in the blender!  Add a little sugar to sweeten it up.  Or just mash a little with a fork for the instant method.  LOL!

  5. Go to this website:

  6. Sure there is!!!

Just mash up some peaches, add some sugar to get the juices flowing and add a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. YUM!!!!

  7. Of course!

There is no need for a recipe. You see you add nothing to baby food... no sugar, salt or seasonings.

For a puree... steam some peach slices until very tender. Then puree any way you like and serve cold.

For chunky peaches, just slice them into small pieces. You can store in a syrup, though I do not recommend this as it has lots of sugar! To make the syrup though, boil 1 cup water and add 1 cup sugar.

  8. Yup.  Get a peach, peel it and pit it, then puree it to the desired consistency.  If you want to do a large batch, pour the puree in to an ice cube tray and when it's frozen transfer the peach cubes to a large ziploc bag and keep in the freezer until you're ready to use it...just a few second in a sauce pan to defrost.   You can do this with most fruits and veggies.

FYI.  Absolutely do NOT put sweeteners in your babies food...salt either for that matter.

  9. nope

  10. Well, when my mom raised me and my other siblings, she used to always give us fruit puree when we were babies. Sometimes she would just mash up a banana and spoon feed it to us. But most of the time, she would make her own mixed fruit purees using a small food processor (this one: http://www.cuisinart.com/catalog/product... It works really well to puree and mix fruit into a wonderful baby food. She used to use all different fruits. Some fruits can be pureed raw (such as bananas and mangos and avocados) while others, such as apples and peaches, will need some steaming. Here is a good method for making peach baby food:

    1. Scrub fruit clean and carve an X into 1 side of the fruit

    2. Place X side down in a pan with an inch of water

    3. Bring water to a boil and steam until soft and tender

    4. Peel skin from fruit and remove pits and/or seeds

    5. Reserve any left over water to use for thinning out the fruits

    6. Peel off skin if you have not done this already. Place fruit(s) into your choice of appliance for pureeing and begin pureeing.

    7. Add the reserved water as necessary to achieve a smooth, thin puree

    8. Add cereal (if desired) to thicken up.

Do the same with apples and you will have a delicious applesauce. I would recommend exploring the website I have provided below for additional recipes and tips. Hope this helped.

  11. you can gennerally make any babyfood at home. for peaches all you have to do is , get a peach, a blender, and peal and pit the peach, drop it in the blender, blend it on pureee until it's smooth and make sure there are no clumps. once it's smooth it's good and natural . No preservatives!

  12. I think most babies food are just mashed up versions of the real thing.  Throw a pitted peach in a blender and serve!

  13. one shouldn't really need a recipe for baby food.

    1. cut the peach(s) in half

    2. get rid of the seed.

    3. put in a blender.

    4. add a little water.

    5. puree

and you are done. I wouldn't recommend adding sweeteners to babies food. The more natural the better.

  14. no there isntt
