I've just read an article titled, 'Islamic Funds Avoid the Financial Meltdown'.

http://www.safehaven.com/article-10564.htm

Seems like the managers of these funds are careful to avoid leveraged companies. Which sounds to me like good business sense.

But I'm not aware of any Islamic funds being traded in US markets. Does anybody know how to invest in these funds?

  1. There are 3 traded on the London exchange sponcered by Barclays.  Ishares MSCI Emerging Markets Islamic ticker ISEM, Ishares MSCI  USA Islamic ticker ISUS, and Ishares MlSCI World Islamic ticker ISWD.  The best way to buy any of these is to open an account with a broker that has access to the London exchange.  Two are Interactive Brokers and ETrade.  Good luck.
