Is there such a thing as a 100m extension lead?

I've been asked to supply coffee at an outdoor event, but have only just found out that the source of power is around 100m away (!) Is it possible for me to get an extension lead that long? Can't find one when I google it. I've heard that sticking two 50m leads together can be quite dangerous - is this true? I normally only plug in to power around 5m away , so this is a first for me!

  1. I'm in the States but I do know that 100m is over 300 feet long--the size of an american football field from one goal post to the next. That is absolutely too long for any extension cord.

find another way to keep the coffee warm.

  2. You have a choice of the 2 60M cords but -

    1) The size of the conductors for each one counts (wire Guage).

    2) The cable needs to be protected from people tripping, walking on it and a lot of possible hazards (vehicle traffic, etc.)

    3) This is a lot of work for coffee.

    4) Several large thermos containers would work.

    5) Expensive but safe, rent a small generator.

  3. you should not ahve a problem with 2 60 meter cords After all, the power comes from many kilometers away.
