There is no 7 Star Status as such.   However, The Burj al-Arab in Dubai is currently the only hotel in the world that markets itself as having "7-star" status, even though it is officially considered to be an ultra-luxurious 5-star hotel since no recognized 7-star ranking exists as of yet. Easy answer: It depends whose rating system you're using. If their ranking only includes 0-5, There is no 7, no matter who is claiming it for themselves.

technically they only go up to 5 stars, but the Burj Al Arab in Dubai self proclaimed itself a 7 star hotel.  so yeah, i guess they kind of do exist
