Is there such a thing as a European subcontinent?

I'm workin' on a world history map, and i'm not sure whether this subcontinent exists or not, so can SOMEONE help? please? >_< the website would be nice too ^_^

While Europe is usually called a continent, World Atlas.com, and other websites (try Googling), describes Europe as part of the peninsula of Eurasia, therefore defining Europe as a sub-continent.
