Is there such a thing as a corn robber?

So today was my first day on campus at my university. My dad drove me and on the way we passed lots of corn fields just a little bit off the road. They were close enough for someone to stop, get out of his car, and steal some corn without anyone knowing. Do you think people do this?

  1. Now that is a cute question!...many people do it just for the sport of doing it, yes.  I think they forget that the field has probably been sprayed with insecticides for corn bore worms, and bugs, or it may be maze being grown for slop for farm animals..but what the heck.

for the couple of ears someone might steal, it really is not worth the possibility of (1).. getting sick, (2).. getting caught (petty theft). I would just admire how pretty it is and leave it for the deer, animals and whatever end  purposes the farmer had in mind, the owner may be trying to grow an  alternative fuel ... he really has put a lot of work into the field, plowing, planting, cultivating and harvesting........thank you ...enjoy University.

  2. Sure, I've done this many times!
