Is there such a thing as a quilting degree?

I love to quilt. I wonder if there's college for that.

I'm pretty sure there are degrees for textile arts, though I don't know what they'd call it.  I'd go to a website for sewing like nancy's notions or google quilting and see what comes up.  The degree may be for art or home economist but the program have specific courses for textiles, colors, design.

Hmmm... I would suspect that would fall under something like home economics (not sure what the politically correct terminology for that might be these days). My mum has a Journalism degree with a minor in Home Ec and she is currently teaching heirloom sewing classes at her local state college. I would start with your local community college and state college to do some investigating. Would be a cool degree, no doubt!
