  2. yep.. you can pretty much make any omelet you'd like.. that actually sounds really good.. i would say go for it..

  3. Anything can be in an omlet

  4. I've had a crab omlet before, so i don't think this is weird

  5. You can put anything you like in an omelette.

  6. SHRIMP OMELET

    2 cloves garlic, crushed

    1 onion, chopped

3 tbsp. butter or cooking oil

    2 ripe tomatoes, chopped

    1/4 lb. shelled, deveined shrimp

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1/4 tsp. black pepper

    4 eggs

Saute garlic and onion in hot butter or cooking oil. Add tomatoes; stir in shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Divide into two portions and set aside.

Beat eggs until fluffy; pour half the beaten eggs into a greased, heated skillet. Spoon one portion of the shrimp mixture over half the omelet and fold. Turn and fry until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with remainder of eggs and shrimp filling.

  7. Yes, I've eaten shrimp omlets ... yum!

Also, if you like Chinese food, there is Shrimp Egg Fu Yung.. which is basically a shrimp omlet, as well.  : )

  8. If there isn't one be the first to make one...what a mouth-watering idea.

I'll do a taste test... just to make sure they are ok.

  9. The beautiful thing about an omelet is that you can put anything in it. You can add a little feta/parmesan cheese in there along with some chopped parsley, tomatoes or any veges that you like.

You know what would be great for either breakfast, lunch or dinner/

Mini shrimp quiche.( this is my recipe, I made it last night!)

-Make a quick crust with crushed whole wheat crackers mixed with a few tablespoons of melted butter.

-Press that mixture on the bottom of  well greased muffin tins.

-Make quiche mixture with 2 lightly beaten eggs, 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 2/3 cup cheddar cheese or any other cheese that you like.

-A few tbs chopped chives/green onion.

-A few tsps chopped garlic and then and your chopped shrimp.

-Mix well and pour evenly in muffin pan. About 2/3 full.

    - Bake at 350 for 20 mins or until evenly browned.

    Eat while warm!

    Enjoy:)

  10. yeah you can put anything you want in an omelet!

  11. You can put about anything in an omelet.  If the shrimp is cooked, just chop them up and add it along with whatever veggies and cheese you want.  If the shrimp are not cooked, peel De-vein and chop them, saute them in a little butter or olive oil along with whatever veggies you are going to saute. If you want a recipe I found this one on AllRecipes.com:

  12. You can throw anything you want into an omelet.  You may just be onto some new taste treat.  I think you'd need to have the shrimp cooked before adding to the eggs.
