  1. yes and make sure that it isnt a problem with your declorinator dosage that often causes a problem when you use too much.

  2. Clean regularly, about once every three-four weeks, but it depends on the size of your tank.

Filters will normally say how many gallons of water they are supposed to be in.

My tank is ten gallons, and it's filter will do 5-15 gallons.

    Hope this helps.

  3. yes, or you could buy charcoal, at fish stores, and it acts like a filter

    good luck!

  4. get a 1-3 whisper filter

  5. yes u can get a small tank filter  get a fluval it will help

  6. there are small tank filters that were made especially for bettas because they cannot stand strong currents, it puts them in shock; and a filter helps you not have to make so many water changes although you need to only do it about 2-3 weeks as long as amonia is not built up.  or you can just use an air pump to use for cirrculating too, but still make those water changes.

  7. Tom Rapids Mini Canister Filters are great, highly recommended for small tanks.
