  1. If there is a vehicle nearby, you can get an "inverter".  It converts 12 volt DC from the car battery to 120 volts or 220 volts AC for the device that plugs in.  If there is no vehicle nearby, you need a generator.

  4. Yes, they are called power generators. One of the simplest that I made, was to attach a cigarette lighter socket to a 12v camcorder battery. Due to its heavy amp/hour rating, it makes an easy portable system to re-charge and/or power  cell phones, digital cameras and the like.

  5. There was a cartoon a lot of years ago where someone invented a 'Portable Hole'.  It was a riot.  A lot of people back then thought cartoons were bad for kids because it was imaginary stuff and kids couldn't tell the difference between imagination and reality.  Of course, kids aren't THAT mentally handicapped.

    Are they?
