I notice that it's harder for me to drive when it's at night with my glasses on. What can I do to improve my eyesight at night, get another pair of glasses?

  1. Yes, there is such a thing. A LOT of people have it... including ME! And I am sorry to say there is not a medical treatment for it. You can get some cheap sunglasses with pale yellow lenses and keep them in your car. They actually make a pair specifically for night blindness, but they are really expensive. Just don't get caught by the Police, they frown on you wearing sunglasses at night. You can also avert your eyes to the outside line on the pavement when a car approaches to prevent your pupils from dilating too much, this helps a LOT!!! Be careful and good luck!

  2. Night vision may be worse than during the day. It happens to many older people through changes in the eyes. Glare and such from night time vision is caused through changes of your pupil size and lenses.  If you wear glasses, make sure you have anti-reflective coating on your lenses. This will help out tremendously. Good Luck.
