Is there such a thing as knee pads for snowboarding?

i'm just learning and like my whole knee is bruised! do they make any kind of knee pads for snowboarding?

oh, and are they like really bulky? (would you be able to see them underneath snowpants)

  1. Yes you can get knee pads.  You're wearing bulky clothing anyway.  Your knees aren't the real problem here, it's your wrists and arms that are the breaking point.   You put your arms out to save you on a fall, even just sideways, snap the wrist.  My son was in the ski patrol for 17 years.  Broken wrists and sometimes forearms all the time.

    And they're very helpfull when you're first

    learning.

    I know because I used to have them

    And no they're not usually bulky

    because you'll be wearing snow pants.

    You can get the knee pads for your whole

    thigh, too. SO you can protect your

    tailbone.

  5. my advice is where wrist pads and always fall on your hands.  snowboarding rocks!
