If so, can you give some examples of countries with an "Islamic culture"?

(I should have asked this in my other question, but didn't think of it until reading the other question about Islamic culture by johanna.)

  1. Yes what ever Muhammad said in the Hadiths could be called "Islamic culture" e.g dress code, halal and haram, prayers and etc.

  2. Saudi Arabia has mostly Islamic culture based on the teachings of

Quran and the traditions of Prophet Mohammad SAW.

Other Muslim countries also have mainly their culture based on Islamic teachings but very few of their practices in their culture are still from the influence of  pre-Islam  like Muslims in India and Pakistan still have few practices that are because of influence of Hindu Culture.

May Allah show us the right way of Islam.

May I ask what culture are you talking about?

Is it those cafés (which are the equivalent of pubs in the West) in Egypt? or alcohol and other recreational drugs in Pakistan? Belly dancing in Saudi Arabic or prostitution in Iran and Turkey?

Is that what we call 'Islamic culture' of these SO-CALLED Islamic countries?

This is NOT Islam and answering your question, no there is no such thing as Islamic culture. Every true Muslim knows that there should be ONE Islamic Nation, headed by a Khalifah. Each society in the Muslim world has developed its own traditions over the centuries. But you will find other customs that are based on non-Islamic traditions. These include the Egyptian Sham an-Naseem (a spring festival dating from Pharaonic times); Mawlid an-Nabi (the prophet's birthday), which appears to be in imitation of Christmas; and the common celebration of birthdays with parties, cakes and candles, and sometimes gifts.

    Hope this answers your question.

  7. In most so called Muslim countries, there is only ISLAMIC CULTURE- NO ISLAM.

  8. I dont think that crossing culture and religion is a wise thing to do

there is islamic religion and national culture though

any islamic culture is borrowed from middle eastern therefore it's originally national

its like forced marriages-many people think that they are islamic things when they are cultural only
