Question:

Is there such a thing as sugarcane oil?

there's coconut oil, corn oil and vegetable oil but why don't i see any sugarcane oil products? or maybe there is but it's not available where i am?

  1. Coconut, corn, and all vegetable oils are produced from their seeds which have a high oil content.  Sugarcane is usually harvested in the vegetative stage not allowing it to go to seed or the sugar content would be reduced.  So no seeds, no oil.  I guess you could harvest cane for seed and produce some oil, but it would be very inefficient.


  2. because sugarcane is not allowed to go to seed, oils are produced from seeds and since cane is not allowed to go to seed there is no oil
