Is there such a thing as the "perfect-sized" settlement for people?If so,what size would the population be?

In other words,do humans function best in a certain enveironment?

When you wake up in the morning and Bob white whistling in front of your yard. When rabits are playing during spring time is the perfect size for the envionment. Human function mankind some where over the rainbow.

i don't think it's a set number. i think it has more to do with population density than anything else. you would need to have enough mental space as well as physical space. There are too many people in London for me because the population density is too high. The same number of people but with a lower population density would be better in my opinion.

Given the same facilities...

cramming people together = no.

spreading them out a bit more = yes.
