My friend says hers does so she could borrow my car and her car insurance would cover her in my car. What insurance is that?

  1. Most standard liability policies cover you for any car that you drive,so long as you're not driving it on a regular basis. However, this coverage is secondary to the insurance  on the car itself. In other words, if your car is insured (and it should be) then your insurance would cover her first. Just the same way as her insurance covers her for the occasional use of someone else's car, an occasional driver is covered under your insurance.

NOTE: This doesn't apply to collision coverage (insurance that fixes your car), just to liability coverage.

  2. It depends, but it is most likely that your insurance will cover her since insurance is usually attached to the car not the driver.

  3. Probably best to have a rest.looks like you can get some ideas here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...
