Question:

Is there such thing a no or low sodium Soy Sauce?

I am on a new and restricted diet and was wondering if there is such a thing of low or no sodium diet? I absolutely love sushi with soy sauce. Any help will do! Thanks!!

  1. You can find reduced sodium soy sauce in most grocery stores. It's right next to the regular soy sauce. However, the lowest sodium content for those is about 23% of the RDA. It's better than 38% (that's how much the regular kind has), but it's still very high.

  5. Yes you can get a low sodium one. We already have 'Home Brand'. It should be with all of the others.

  6. Kikkoman makes a low sodium soy sauce... it's has a green label on the bottle.  Many sushi restaurants will have both regular and low sodium soy sauce on the table.

    With recent health trends, I believe many manufacturer's are making low sodium soy sauces.  You can also use Tamari with is another form of "soy sauce".
