  1. There is an AIRGUN. that is .45 caliber.

There's plenty of lever action 45acp rifles to choose from too.

  3. There's the Marlin Camp Carbines, though I don't believe they're made anymore so you'd have to find a used one.

All of the other .45s I know of have pistol grips.

  4. Yes, check this out

  5. If you were willing to drop the semi part you could get a fairly good list of .45 rifles. The .45 semi-automatic rifle market is a bit too small to make good money in, so few manufacturers bother with it. You could get an AR-15 and buy an after-market kit to make it a .45, you could try to track down an old .45 Marlin Camp Rifle, or you could buy a reproduction thompson, but other than that I think you are out of luck. I assume you know that to make it cali-legal you can only have a 4 round magazine, or you would have to buy a pre-(1994?) magazine. It is safe to safe if you get want you ask for, it could very well be used.

  6. They make a conversion kit to transform a 1911 style ,45 Cal weapon in to a Carbine.

Not sure about the Calif Legal part...

  7. Lever action is almost as good as semi-auto. And if we're talking the Model 1895 Marlin in 45-70, you want to be able to hold on target, and it will take a second or two to get back there, and that is plenty of time to c**k the piece. You will love it! There is something addictive about the 45-70. Great for brush-busting deer, hogs, or anything else in North America with standard loads, or Big 5 in Africa with the steamier loads, you are also set up for Cowboy Action Events. Be sure and check out the period costumes! Oh well, you are fixated on the 45ACP right now. Maybe next year! Regards, Larry.

  8. In .45 Colt ( sometime referred to as Long Colt but that is a misnomer) therre will be a pretty good selection in lever guns. Some reasonably priced, others not so much. I have a copy of a Winchester model 1873 that fires .45 Colt psitol cartridge. It is made by Uberti but these will be on the higher end in price. They will run around a thousand dollars. Other copies will run anywhere from 400 up. Really top of the line, engraved, exact copies will cost even more, closer to 2 grand.

If you are going to shoot much, I'd stick with the more reasonable priced ones. Keep in mind, these will look like Wild West lever action and pump rifles of yesteryear. They're  not neccesarily tack drivers either, although they can offer decent accuracy. You might want to consider re-loading since a box of 50 rounds of 45 Colt will cost about 25-30 bucks now-a-days.

  9. For sure.  The .458 Winchester Magnum is a .45 caliber rifle.  Both Marlin and Rossi make a .45 (Long) Colt lever-action rifle.  Marlin used to make a .45 acp camp carbine.  You can probably still find one if you look around.

California legal???  I don't know, California is a... Brand new game!  LOL!

  10. There are two kits available that convert a 1911 into a carbine

Don't know how good they are but there out there

  11. I don't know of a 45acp rifle or carbine currently being manufactured other than the thompson look alikes.

  12. Lots of the lever guns made these days are offered in 45 Colt. I've never been wild about the concept, with that little rim on the case (for a lever gun to grab for extraction), but it seems to work for cowboy action shooters. They'd be a lot more practical than a 45ACP autoloader.

  13. Marlin camp carbine 45, H & K 45 ACP Carbine Rifle and

    Auto Ordinance 1927 A1 .45 Semi Auto Carbine 45
