okay, so my cat has been acting a little funky.

shes about five years old, no shots, and has fleas.

for the past three-five months (maybe even six), she's been basically living under my bed.

she comes out only to eat, use the litter box, and she's lost alot of fur and weight.

when i see her, i do pet her, and she's really clingy.

also, i was cleaning under my bed, i saw a urine pile, it was weird.

I'm getting really worried.

please, if anyone can help, i am open for anything.

  1. The only thing anyone could tell you to do is to take her to the vet asap or give her to a shelter where she can be evaluated to see if she has an illness if you cannot afford the vet. All the things you say sound like a health problem so until you can rule that out you cannot presume it is any other kind of problem.

  2. um take her to the vet

  3. "She has fleas" - These need to be treated, she's probably miserable. Take the cat to the vet ASAP and get her shots please as well as treatment for the fleas. And the cat sounds severely stressed and very unhappy. VET NOW.

  4. Okay, this sounds like a definite health problem  The losing the fur and weight is a really bad sign, especially if she has fleas, which can literally suck all the blood out of a cat.  You need to get that treated and tests run by your vet to see what's wrong NOW.

  5. Take your kitty to the vet. She's probably hiding because she doesn't feel good.

    Hair loss = somethings wrong!

  6. You should check out this website. you might find it very helpful. Good Luck!  http://bryanrainespetservices.com/Comple...

  7. Yes, get your cat to the vet as soon as possible because he/she is sick and it's been going on for too long.  You said in your post that your cat has had no shots - so it could be a number of things.  You do know that your cat has fleas and left untreated a flea infestation can make your cat very sick.  Fleas and ticks are dangerous disease carriers that can make your cat's life miserable. Fleas can transmit tapeworms and cause itchy allergic reactions, which can lead to scratching, hair loss, and infection. Fleas ingest an animals' blood, and the bloodsuckers can actually consume so much that some cats die of blood loss. Hence it's crucial to keep your cat flea-free.

If your cat has a flea infestation that means that they are all through your home.  Fleas can live for several months in your house and flea eggs may hatch in your carpet, cushions, and drapes for years. Your cat isn't the only one at risk: people can get irritating fleabites too.  And if your cat is living under your bed, your bed is probably full of fleas as well.  So, wash you bedding frequently and strip your bed and vacumm your mattress - both sides - until you have the flea situation under control.

To get rid of housebound fleas use professional flea foggers in each room and sprays for hard-to-reach spots. Clean the flea eggs out of your house by vacuuming several times in a week. After each vacuuming session, remove vacuum bags and tape them closed, then throw the bags away. Also clean your cat's favorite hangouts regularly.

Please take your cat to the vet ASAP.  Hopefully, the vet will find nothing more serious than a flea infestation which can be easily treated and your cat will be feeling better in no time.  I've been lucky so far; my little guy has never been sick and I know how upset I would be if he ever did get sick because I couldn't stand the thought of him, or any animal, suffering in any way.
