I would like to put a trailer hitch on my car to tow a waverunner but I do not want any resemblence visually seen from the back when I am not pulling the trailer. Can anyone tell me where or how to get a fully detachable trailer hitch? If you have an idea of cost please include that too!

Thanks!

  1. dont hide it, it's a nice thing to have on the rear of your truck, just in case a stupid driver decides to rear end you, they will hit the hitch, then you can pull forward and rip they're bumper off.

they have several what they call hidden hitches.   A receiver hitch you can always place something in the receiver to help hide it as well.

  3. Some hitches are made to bolt on to factory securement points on the frame, but this is usually only found on vehicles where a factory towing option is available (trucks, SUVs, and the like). In these cases, you could remove the hitch when not in use, although this does entail getting under the vehicle and removing all of the attachment hardware. Reese is a popular aftermarket towing equipment manufacturer, you can check with them for availability.

You can also simply remove the ball mount from the receiver when not towing a vehicle, and hide the receiver with some piece of decor. You can get decorative plates with things such as your make of vehicle, favorite sports team, etc. Some come with an auxiliary brake light. The only problem with that is that to a trained eye it will still be apparent that the vehicle is equipped with a tow hitch, although you will not be seeing the tow ball.
