  1. Many kids who do well in grade school don't do well in high school, and visa-versa. Usually girls have the first case, boys have the second...

    Hope this helps

  2. Yes

  3. Yes,  I didn't get into academic until college (in my early 20's) then I got really into it.  Graduated Summa *** Laude with a BA in Math and Computer Science.  Don't give up, it's never to late, and remember an under-challenged kid won't succeed anymore that an over-challenged one will,  it has to be interesting and fun to get a kid attention.

  4. Absolutely! In HS I had a 2.3 GPA and in College its a 3.688 and that is because I forgot to withdrawal from a class once.

Everyone has there own style, you (or your child) just haven't find yours/theirs yet.

  5. yes!

I did horrible in high school...mainly because I didn't realize how important it was. Now I have about a 4.0 at my University

  6. In high school my grades were average to low and occasional summer school, a "B" was rare.  At seventeen, in business college my grades were average with occasional "Bs" and maybe an "A",  At 23 thru 25 in Jr. college my grades were average to tops, lots of A's and B's and from age 32 to 36 during four years of senior college I could have graduated with honors except for a "c" in Jr. college and dropping out of physics.  As I grew older my mind seemed to settle, had more confidence, more desire to learn.  It happens.
