Is there such thing as a northern lights forcast???

i want to see them! i have b4 but they were very dull. i live in canada (nova scotia)

    The green line on the map on the website is a far south as you will see the lights tonight.

  2. The northern lights' intensity is dependent on the sun's activity.

    The sun's intensity varies periodically over an 11-year cycle.  Currently (2008) we are at a low-point in solar activity (solar minimum), which is why the northern lights are not as bright.  In 2012, they will be much more brilliant (during solar maximum).
