I am obsessed with pink, i would like my show coat to match my helmet, and saddle pad! Please just a regular show coat, no hunt, or dressage, etc.

  1. There is such a thing as a pink coat- the members of some hunts wear them- but if you try to do this in competition, you will be excused or have points taken off your score for inappropriate attire. Besides, pink clashes BADLY with the colors of most horses' coats- to the point where it will make you look really silly if you wear it.

  2. They are actually the red coats you see worn by the USET members.

Traditionally they are reserved for members of national teams and specified members of recognized hunts. It is considered in poor taste to wear a pink coat otherwise(by this I mean the red one.)

You technically would not penalized for it but I wouldn't suggest it.

Now if it is actually a pink-pink coat you were wanting I would just consider what discipline you ride in. If it is open jumpers then pretty much anything can go but for hunters or flat classes I would defineatley suggest sticking with more traditional colors. No reason to appear odd in the eyes of the judges.
