Is there such thing as white blood?

i got a scratch just under my ear and its all wet and it shud be blood and red but it isnt its just clear like water.

  1. yeah, it's called a white blood cell and it's generally there to help heal wounds and such. the pus [which is probably what you're referring to] is the white blood cell healing your wound.


  2. There are "white blood cells," as the first answer stated, but no, there is no "white blood."  

    Blood is made up of red cells, white cells, serum, proteins, and lots of other things I'm sure to have forgotten.  Blood itself is not white, but as already mentioned, it does contain some "white blood cells."

    The clear stuff is interstitial fluid, as someone already wrote.
