ok so the walls in a room of my home have those ridges in them , and i was wondering, is there such a wallpaper that i could put up to cover the ridges but, paint over? we already have a layer of paper on, to hide the ridges, and plan to rip off the current wallpaper...

  1. Cover the walls with ¼ inch sheet rock (dry wall) and then paint the sheet rock with a white primer coat. After  that dries, paint whatever color you want.

  2. It depends on the ridges, I would just drywall over them. Stay AWAY from wallpaper, eww!

  4. Are the ridges from paneling or beadboard? Or are the walls stuccoed? If paneled or beadboarded, there is wallpaper that is made specifically for covering that type of thing. I can't remember the name of it. But it has a random pattern on it in several different patterns. It can be painted over.

    If it is stucco, I believe that you have to knock off the peaks and smooth out the stucco as best you can. You have to be careful how you do it though. If you go through to the screening holding the stucco to the wall, you now have to bring in a professional to fix it. Unless you are very handy.
