Is there a blood test to tell if you have been vaccinated or are immune to measles, mumps or rubella?

    There is a laboratory blood test that is used to check to see if your child is immune to Measles, Rubella and Mumps. Enquiries at the paediatric department of your local hospital should provide you with more information.

Yes, your doctor can do a blood test to check for antibodies to the disease.  This test is called a titer.  It can tell if you have been immunized.  It can also tell if the immunization was effective.  I had a hep B titer drawn when I started working in the hosp.  Guess what?  No antibodies.  The three step vaccine didn't take and I had to have another shot.  Good thing the titer was done.  It may save my life someday.  Always a good idea to get one done.  Especially if you are unsure about vaccination status.
