I'm going to be leaving for basic training in september and am gone for 8 weeks and was just curious if I go directly to my a-school after that or if there is time off in between where I come home?

  1. Usually there is AIT and then your school before time off!

  2. no leave is authorized.  you will report directly to A school.

  3. If you're talking about the Navy (I assume you are, since you mention A School), then the answer is no. You go directly from Basic Training in Great Lakes to wherever your A School is. Once you finish A School, you can take leave between the school and your final duty station, unless you got a C School. If you got a C School, you go directly from A School to C School and get leave between C School and your final duty station.

  4. Yeah, just like the FC3 mentioned above (or below). What is your rate, hope you don't have a long "A" school.
