  1. If you mean New Years Day, yes there are trains. There appears to be a full service to Southampton, for example there are 5 trains between 10.15am and 11.35pm from London to that destination. Check www.thetrainline.com

  5. Yes there are services. New Years Eve is a normal Saturday service (Xmas week is always a Saturday Service for some reason, I am sure the companies dont realise that people have to work a lot more during that period) and New Years Day is normally a Sunday Service.
