Is there varnish/sealant i can coat my big daddy figurine in to make him aquarium safe?

I want to put my Big Daddy figure in an aquarium, but am pretty sure that would be a bad idea as he would probably kill the fish (with toxins, not his massive drill although thats a problem i may have to deal with later). If there any product i can use to coat him in to stop him eeking out poisons or paint?

is he wooden? Use Yacht varnish.
