Is there any special vets for hedge hogs? Are there any in brooklyn ny?

Bird vets are not always the same as exotic vets. Some vets can treat both, but many are not trained to know about both species. This link lists all of the known vet clinics in the state of NY that treat hedgehogs:

...No, not that I'm aware of. But you can just as easily go to a vet for birds, and I'm sure they'll treat your hedgehog.

call a regular small animal vet in your area (look it up in yellowpages.com) and ask if they treat hedgehogs.  if the first one says no, ask if they can recommend a vet who does.
