Is there work done whenwhen sleeping and walking?

Please help me and give me the reasons pls...

BTW, work done is a force is equal to the force multiplied by the distance moved in the direction of the force.

  1. For sleep, I'm not sure, but for walking there definitely is work being done. When we walk, friction keeps us from slipping. Walking at a constant pace implies use of a constant force to keep friction from slowing us down or even keeping us from moving. The constant force is used over a distance, which is why we are doing work.
